EdJEWcon

EdJEWcon, a hands-on professional development seminar will present a vision for 21st Century Jewish Day School education, as well as a roadmap for schools interested in this journey.

While conference participants will actively utilize all of the most up-to-date technology in creating their learning, this will not be a technology conference, but a conference about education and innovation. The plan is for teams from Schechter schools of two or more representatives to participate. The make-up of those teams is open, depending upon the schools and who they wish to send. Possible tracks include: administrators, technology and curriculum coordinators, admissions and marketing directors, lay leaders, and classroom teachers.

This conference will be an outstanding follow-up to the North American Day School Conference which will focus on 21st Century Learning as one of the major themes.

The Schechter Day School Network is a partner with the Martin J. Gottlieb Jewish Day School in supporting this conference, which has received a significant grant from the Avi Chai Foundation to make it happen.

The Network has a limited budget for travel allowances, so early registrants will have an advantage.

Conference dates: April 29 – May 1, 2012.
Venue: The Martin J. Gottlieb Jewish Day School in Jacksonville, Florida.
